Our Bank of America Partnership
Housing Grants
ClearPoint’s partnership with Bank of America was renewed once again in 2011 through joint efforts to assist financially-distressed homeowners. A total of $70,000 in grants was awarded by The Bank of America Charitable Foundation to support ClearPoint’s Housing Counseling and Outreach Initiative in California, North Carolina and the Washington Metropolitan area.
Awards included:
• A $25,000 grant to assist homeowners in Fresno and North Madera, California,
• A $20,000 grant to assist homeowners in the Washington Metropolitan area,
• A $15,000 grant to assist homeowners in the Sacramento – Arden-Arcade – Roseville metropolitan area,
• A $10,000 grant to assist homeowners throughout North Carolina.
As a result of the funding, Bank of America is ensuring that 350 predominately low- to moderate-income individuals and families receive free one-on-one counseling from unbiased counselors certified by the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC). Families assisted through the grant will learn about their options for preserving homeownership and avoiding foreclosure.
