Post-Purchase Counseling

Our Post-Purchase Counseling is designed for homeowners who have recently purchased a home. A HUD-certified Housing Counselor will work with them to develop a household budget which includes saving for critical housing-related expenses such as maintenance and home improvements. The goal is to set up homeowners in stable financial positions to enable them to avoid future late payments and/or foreclosure.

The discussion will include what to do if they think they will be late with a mortgage payment, understanding various loan features such as interest only loans, adjustable rate mortgages, and balloon payments.

We offer this service at no cost.

A Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)-approved housing counseling agency, ClearPoint Credit Counseling Solutions offers this service at no charge.
